The global economic crisis that in one way or another affected all of us, has caused financial stress on many individuals and their families. Today, people appear to be more optimistic and the current economic conditions seem to show signs of improvement; however, some of our members may still be experiencing financial difficulties. Therefore, if you have lost your job or have experienced a significant change in your financial condition, we are here to help. I want to reassure all of our members that the credit union is here to assist you. If you have a loan with us and are experiencing difficulties making your monthly payments, please contact us immediately.

Although many credit counselors and debt consolidation companies have been able to help people in certain situations, reports also indicate that individuals have been victims of debt consolidation fraud or their financial situation has worsened after contacting such companies. Therefore, if you need assistance, please contact the credit union first, and we will do everything possible to assist you.

Your credit union continues to be in a strong financial position, and we continue to look forward to providing our members with great value and excellence in member service. We are experiencing growth in all aspects, which better positions the credit union to assist our members. With recent legislative changes from the federal government, Credit Union members can continue to make deposits with confidence as the limit on federal deposit insurance coverage of up to $250,000 has been extended until 12/31/2013. In addition, CPCU continues to provide members with excess deposit insurance on accounts that exceed this limit through theMassachusetts Share Insurance Corporation.
